The Big Opener

Monday, May 16th at 7:00 a.m. marks the beginning of the Copper River Salmon fishing season in Wild Alaska. This first opening is scheduled for a twelve hour fishing period and demand is expected to be high even before the fish are flown to the U.S. mainland. The Copper River is a 300 mile long river that empties into Prince William Sound. Many believe Copper River King Salmon and Sockeye Salmon to be the best Wild Salmon available for the delicious fat content and firm meat these fish yield from enduring such a laborious travel up this mighty river. We are speaking with Copper River fishermen regarding availability. Keep in mind, it's still very early in the season and we have all summer to go. We are doing our best to have some Copper River Sockeyes for the Memorial Day weekend
